New York Oncology Hematology (NYOH) is proud to announce that its Medically Integrated Dispensary (MID) has achieved the NCODA Center of Excellence (CoE). This three-year distinction is awarded to organizations that demonstrate a high standard of patient-centered care, aligning with ASCO/NCODA’s Patient-Centered Standards for Medically Integrated Dispensing.
NYOH’s MID now joins an elite group of medically integrated practices nationwide, highlighting the organization’s commitment to quality, innovation, and seamless patient care. The CoE Accreditation is unique in that it specifically supports medically integrated practices, recognizing NYOH’s dedication to reducing clinical fragmentation and administrative burdens to enhance patient outcomes.
“This accreditation is a testament to our team’s hard work and commitment to excellence,” said Daniela DeThomasis, RPh, Manager of MID Services at NYOH. “Our dedicated teams across departments have worked tirelessly to incorporate NCODA’s standards, ensuring that we provide our patients with a seamless, supportive experience throughout their oncology care journey.”
Achieving NCODA accreditation required coordinated efforts across multiple teams at NYOH. Alongside the MID team, the nursing, CBO oral prior authorization, and patient benefits representative (PBR) teams were essential in incorporating NCODA standards into daily workflows. These Patient-Centered Standards promote comprehensive care through guidelines on communication, patient evaluation and education, adherence tracking, safety protocols, prescription management, thorough documentation, benefits investigation, safe medication disposal, and patient satisfaction.
“We congratulate NYOH on achieving the NCODA Center of Excellence Accreditation,” said Michael Reff, RPh, MBA, Founder and Executive Director of NCODA. “This accreditation reinforces NYOH’s commitment to excellence with a model that truly supports the needs of patients and the oncology community.”
This NCODA accreditation further affirms NYOH’s dedication to improving cancer care delivery, demonstrating to patients that NYOH is there to support them through each step of their treatment.
