Exceptional, Personalized Cancer Care—Close to Home

New York Oncology Hematology (NYOH) is the Capital Region’s leading provider of community-based cancer care and blood disorder services. We’re proud to offer comprehensive, patient-centered treatment across six state-of-the-art cancer centers in Albany, Amsterdam, Clifton Park, Hudson, and Troy—plus a dedicated women’s imaging location, Akira Medical Imaging + Wellness, conveniently located in Albany.

Each year, our team of 35 board-certified physicians and over 300 cancer care specialists delivers compassionate care across a wide range of services, including medical oncology, radiation oncology, hematology, gynecologic oncology, and surgery, serving more than 100,000 patient visits annually.

What Sets NYOH Apart

Our commitment to delivering advanced, personalized cancer treatment has earned us a reputation for excellence. What differentiates us are:

  • Groundbreaking Clinical Research: More than 3,000 NYOH patients have participated in clinical trials over the past 25 years, helping to approve over 100 new cancer therapies. Their participation continues to shape the future of cancer treatment, offering hope to thousands more. View our open clinical trials
  • Subspecialized Cancer Experts: While our providers are trained in all cancers and blood disorders, many focus exclusively on specific cancer types, becoming true experts in their fields. This subspecialization allows us to offer more precise, innovative treatment options aligned with the latest in precision medicine and technology.
  • Locally Owned, Independent Practice: NYOH is proud to be the only independent practice in the Capital Region solely dedicated to cancer care. That means our focus is entirely on our patients, with the added convenience of multiple community-based locations and access to cutting-edge therapies, without needing to travel far.

Pioneers in Community-Based Cancer Treatment

NYOH has been shaping cancer care in the Capital Region for over 35 years. We were the first oncology practice to bring cancer treatment out of the hospital and into the community—and the first to offer radiation therapy in a non-hospital setting. Today, that pioneering spirit continues through our leadership in:

  • Clinical trials and research
  • The region’s only stem cell transplant program
  • The only community-based neuro-oncology care in the area

Compassionate Support, Every Step of the Way

We believe every patient deserves more than just treatment—they deserve to be seen, heard, and supported. That’s why our physicians and care teams work closely with each patient and their family to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to their diagnosis, lifestyle, and goals. Whether you’re undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or participating in a clinical trial, we’re by your side from diagnosis through survivorship.
