Born and raised in Nyack, New York, Aly earned an undergraduate degree in Human Biology from the University at Albany and began a medical career early, starting in EMS at age 15 and later working as an EMT for approximately three years while in college.
After graduation, Aly lived in Baltimore, Maryland, where she worked as a rehabilitation technician in acute care, orthopedic, and lymphedema settings. She later returned to upstate New York to complete a Physician Assistant program at Albany Medical College, where she developed a strong connection to the region and chose to make it home. Following PA school, Aly spent two years in primary care before transitioning into hematology and oncology.
