In 2009, NYOH patient and breast cancer survivor Lisa Morehan was in treatment and too sick to make an Easter basket for her son. So, she vowed to make up for it and Project Easter Bunny was born. Morahan recently dropped off 50 Easter baskets for the children of NYOH patients, currently undergoing cancer treatment. Project Easter Bunny is part of floydwarriors.com, a volunteer organization that Morahan created after her own cancer experience. The group helps local cancer patients with day to day tasks such as housekeeping, grocery shopping and child care.
Morahan delivered the baskets in a pink limousine, provided by Today’s Limousine, which donates a portion of every rental fee of the pink limo to cancer support organizations, including floydwarriors.com.
Accepting the baskets, inside the pink limo, are: Erin Giordano, RN, Morahan, Rigoberto Balls-Suarez, Medical Assistant, and Yassah Sim, RN.
