Dr. Banwait is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine and brings a deep focus on breast cancer treatment. He joins NYOH after serving as Chief Clinical Fellow in Hematology and Oncology at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he was recognized for his leadership and patient-centered care.
His training spans some of the most respected institutions in medicine, including clinical experience at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he developed a multidisciplinary approach that combines the latest research with individualized treatment planning. Dr. Banwait’s background has shaped a philosophy of care that treats the whole person—not just the diagnosis.
