Founded in 2000 by NYOH physicians, staff, and patients, the NYOH Community Cancer Foundation provides direct financial assistance to local cancer patients. By helping cover essential living expenses like rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation, the Foundation eases the burden so patients can focus on healing. In 2024 alone, the Foundation supported over 650 patients across the Capital Region.
Held annually on the first Sunday in June, National Cancer Survivors Day® is a celebration of life for anyone living with a history of cancer. It’s an opportunity for survivors to connect, reflect on milestones, and celebrate with those who have supported them. It also shines a light on the challenges survivors face and the importance of ongoing support, research, and resources.
